Procurement Decision Studio

Build an evidence-based supplier award across landed cost, quality, service, disruption exposure and Scope 3 emissions. Compare sourcing policies on the same data, stress-test the portfolio and defend the recommendation with quantified trade-offs.

How to use it

  1. Choose the category. Each market has different cost, capacity and risk economics.
  2. Set decision priorities. Move the four weights or use a board-level policy preset.
  3. Run the analysis. The engine allocates demand subject to capacity and ESG constraints.
  4. Defend the award. Read the frontier, matrix and stress loss, then submit the recommendation.

Supply risk × award impact

Award share raises profit impact; risk remains a supplier and lane property.

Efficient sourcing frontier

The best policy is not simply the left-most point: continuity has economic value.

The procurement question

A bid price is not a sourcing decision. The economic choice includes quality failure, working capital, disruption exposure, capacity and carbon.

The model logic

Each supplier receives a normalised multi-criteria score. Demand is awarded in rank order subject to capacity, ESG eligibility and the optional 65% concentration cap.

Class challenge

  1. Keep OTD above 95%.
  2. Keep continuity above 85%.
  3. Explain why the cheapest bid may raise TCO.

About this tool

The concept

A supplier award is a multi-criteria decision: landed cost, quality, service, disruption exposure and Scope 3 emissions rarely point at the same supplier, so the weights you choose are the decision.

How it works

Each candidate is scored per criterion, weighted by the board policy you pick, and the award is optimised on that blend. The risk/impact view then shows where the resulting portfolio is exposed.

Winning strategy

Set the weights before you see the ranking. Otherwise you will tune them until they endorse the supplier you already wanted - and the model becomes decoration rather than evidence.
